On a Monday evening in June, the CCC team decided to take up the Lasertag challenge.
Around 20 staff took part, and events began with a short briefing on the lasertag equipment, given by Mark Treverton and his wife. (A clear advantage to this activity is that there's no mess and no special clothing needed).
After a short overview of strategy, everyone dispersed into the woodland. Quite surprisingly, the lasers have a long range (almost 100metres) which made the CCC grounds ideal territory. After a hard day in the office, it was refreshing to see everyone in such high spirits, ducking and diving behind trees and colleagues.
After a session working solo, Mark gathered everyone into teams, and 2 games followed based on skill and strategy. Much fun was had by all, especially Pauline in Accounts!
We brought the evening to a close with a drink at the bar and a meal on the terrace. Everyone was glad of the opportunity to take part, and spend some time with each other in a completely different environment. As a team building exercise, it definitely worked for us.
