Cotswold Conference Centre staff were delighted to meet the Duke of Kent on his recent visit to Broadway.
The Duke, who has a keen interest in business, was invited to mark the official opening of Broadway Tourist Information Centre. As well as unveiling a commemorative plaque, the Duke congratulated two local businesses on awards for standards of excellence in Tourism.
Cotswold Conference Centre, who recently won two Gold awards, were joined by Windrush Guest House, the first Servicemark silver award winner for Worcestershire. Both businesses are Broadway based and have taken part in the Quality at Heart award initiative funded by Advantage West Midlands.
Before moving on to another engagement, the Duke of Kent toured the new Gordon Russell Museum development, enquired about the recent Asparagus Festival and discussed the impact of tourism on the area with Chris Brooks, Regeneration Officer for Wychavon District Council.
