Farncombe event promises `a breath of fresh air`

Cotswold Conference Centre on the Farncombe Estate near Broadway, noted for its spectacular location overlooking the Vale of Evesham, is hosting an experiential learning event combining the best of indoors and outdoors learning.

Fresh Thinking and Fresh Air is a free event being held during the morning of Monday 24th June. It should appeal to training and learning development specialists as well as senior leaders facing, or about to face, major organisational change.

Led by Dave Stewart from the Fresh Air Learning Company and presenter and author Liggy Webb, it will take delegates on a `journey of discovery` to get the best from indoor/outdoor learning techniques and facilities. It will include a session on developing personal resilience in a changing world.

Dave and Liggy will draw on their work with leadership teams and others. It will include a process called appreciative inquiry that has four stages: discovery, imagining, designing and project setting. The process is popular in the US but less well known in the UK.

The event will include a networking lunch with a mini barbecue and supply of Farncombe fresh smoothies.

Rachael Buttery, Corporate Sales Manager at the Farncombe Estate, said of the event:

“This is a great opportunity to take a break from your desk and hear and learn from two experts in the field of change management and leadership development, and to find out first-hand what the Farncombe Estate has to offer as a conference and training venue.

“At Farncombe, we offer 11 different meeting and training rooms for up to 120 people. The venue is also home to the luxury Dormy House Hotel, which is the subject of a £10m refurbishment.”

Places can be reserved, free of charge, by contacting Rachael Buttery on 0845 230 8580

or emailing rachaelb@cotswoldconferencecentre.com. Bookings close on 17 June.
