DORMY HOUSE SEES A FOURTH STAR IN THE ASCENDANCY AS FESTIVE SEASON APPROACHES

Exciting news has reached the Dormy House Hotel (our sister venue!) with the achievement of a Fourth AA Star. The hotel, a mile up the road from CCC, was awarded its Fourth Star with an AA rating of 77% on 3rd November 2008.

Pro-active greetings, impressive cleanliness and spaciousness were just some of the factors that the AA inspectors cited as grounds for the elevation of status for a hotel that “sets high standards for the industry”.

General Manager David Field said: “AA ratings have moved away from improvements in the infrastructure of hotels such as building swimming pools. To get elevated status now the focus is on the hospitality and service that guests receive. That’s something which is down to the whole team to achieve from the chamber maid polishing the tables in the morning greeting guests, right the way up to the general manager at the top”.

Help rein in valuable funds for Acorns Children's Hospice

Conference-Worcestershire is inviting you to join in with its charity Christmas Reindeer Challenge on Friday, 12th December, to raise valuable funds for Acorns Children's Hospice.

The premise is simple - if you chose to join in the fun, you will be emailed a special grid reference, unique to you, representing a particular square in our field.

On the big day, their reindeer will be fed a very hearty festive breakfast before venturing out into the field, and if he does his business on your square - you win!

Lucky winners will scoop tickets for two to Eckington Manor Cookery School's fantastic Evening Food and Wine Demonstration, including cookery demonstration, tasting supper, recipe pack to take home and licensed bar.

The cost to enter the charity event is just £5, with all cash going to Acorns. For more information, please contact Emma Robinson on 01905 766895.
