CCC Chefs visit local school Cookery Club


Willersey Primary School Cookery Club continued their culinary world tour with a trip to America this week. Special guests for the day were two chefs from the kitchens at the Cotswold Conference Centre. Head Chef, Scott Courts and his Chef de Partie, Jamie Bennett. They helped prepare the produce and taught some tricks of the trade to the children.

The theme for the day celebrated ‘Thanksgiving’ and the menu included native american dishes such as Pumpkin Tarts, Three Ladies Soup made from squash, beans and corn, Indian Fry Bread and Pecan and Pumpkin Cookies.

After the tasting, there was a question and answer session where the children got to ask about how the chefs started their careers and how many people they cook for. Scott and Jamie enjoyed it so much they hope to return in the New Year.
