Turn Up The Heat

Hostile Environment Awareness Training

We would be pleased if you could join us on 02 September from 10 am, we will be providing an opportunity for you to learn about the Edson Tiger Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) package.
Our Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) packages are intended for those who are being posted to complex or high threat environments. The challenges presented may be due to conflict, political instability, a general lack of law and order or a specific threat to foreign nationals. The emphasis is on understanding your environment, low profile threat avoidance and, if things do go wrong, responding appropriately.
The training reflects that given to members of the Diplomatic Service and the Intelligence and Security Services prior to being posted overseas; particularly those going to medium and high threat locations.  The training programme consists of six core modules, but we can offer a range of additional enhancements in order to meet your particular requirements. These might include working with a close-protection team, or advanced IED and landmine awareness.

The course leads to the award of two externally recognised qualifications:
  • The International Law Enforcement Training Academy (ILETA), Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) Diploma
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

The event will take place at Farncombe Conference Centre and Estate in the Cotswolds, near the town of Broadway, one of our UK training venues. During the morning you will be given an insight into our HEAT training, the course content and delivery methods, including the use of scenario training.

The morning will conclude with a complimentary lunch in the Farncombe restaurant followed by a chance to explore Farncombe Conference Centre and the 400 acre estate where we conduct our training.
