Double Achievement

Staff at Cotswold Conference Centre are celebrating a double achievement for two of its management team. Chris Catford, Assistant Operations Manager and Rachael Buttery, Conference Diary Manager recently celebrated the completion of a year long training programme.

Aspiring Managers, developed by Tourism Skills Network South West, is a management development programme aimed at first level managers from the tourism, hospitality and leisure industry. The chance to achieve a Level 3 Award in First Line Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management, through completion of the programme, was also available.

During the year long development programme Chris and Rachael attended workshops and action learning group sessions which covered six core management modules; Industry, Quality, The Customer, Managing Self, Managing the Team and Managing the Task.

The pair celebrated their completion of the course, and their achievement in each gaining a Level 3 Award in First Line Management, at a special Graduation day on Thursday 23rd April.

CCC Sales Manager Nick Akerman commented “we are absolutely delighted that Chris and Rachael have achieved these awards. As an organisation we encourage all of our staff to develop their skills and at this early stage in their careers, the Aspiring Managers programme was a great opportunity for them both”.
